How Much Intercourse Is Good Sex?

The Myth: The best intercourse is all night long
The Reality: 7-10 minutes

Research of North American sex therapists has found that satisfactory to desired levels of sexual intercourse for couples is just 3 to 13 minutes. The popular fantasy that good lovemaking requires hours of sexual activity is a myth. Penn State dispelled this myth in a survey of members of the Society for Sex Therapy and Research, which includes psychologists, physicians and marriage therapists.

The therapists rated a range of time intervals for sexual intercourse, from penetration of the vagina by the penis until ejaculation, that they considered adequate, desirable, too short and too long. The therapists' responses revealed the following ranges of intercourse activity times:

Too short - 1-2 minutes
Adequate - 3-7 minutes
Desirable - 7-13 minutes
Too long - 10-30 minutes

Drive-thru Strip Club

It was destined. Climax Gentlemen's Club in Congruity, Pa. mixes convenience and sex to become the world's first and only all-nude drive-thru strip club.

Drivers pull up to a diamond-shaped window to watch an exotic dancer of their choice shake in the buff for $10 per minute.

"Around 30,000 vehicles pass our club everyday, and some just need to wind down after a long day," Climax said.

Despite the distracting dancers, Climax says there's never been a car crash.

"Just a lot of smiles and no complaints," he said.

Sex Partners Online

from an article in The London Sun Online

"Dear Deidre, a London advice columnist, has revealed some startling results from her internet sex survey. Of 4,000 U.K. readers responding, 80 percent have viewed pornography online and 33 percent claim to have used the internet to cheat on their significant other. Perhaps more shocking, 10 percent of those who cheated claim to have had sex with 11 or more partners they met online!

"As Agony Aunt of The Sun, hearing from readers every day, I have been amazed over recent years by the way the internet and mobile phones have affected how we form relationships, how we behave within them, how many sex partners we have and even what we do with them in the privacy of our own homes," Deidre writes.

"Sex education needs to include tactics to help the addicted wean themselves off quick online thrills and move on to real-life, caring relationships," she said.

There were also some statistics on webcams: "Half of those with a webcam use it to show themselves and see other people sexually, half use it to show themselves or see other people pleasuring themselves sexually, and a third use it to watch other people having sex. One in four reveals their face during webcam sex – and worryingly, it's the teens who are more likely to do so."
